This page explains how Dig For Liberty uses cookies and similar technologies. We don’t use a cookie banner—by using the site, you accept cookies as described here. You can control or block them in your browser if you prefer.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a site or its service providers place on your device. They help the site remember you, keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, and improve how it works. We also refer to “cookies” here to include similar tech (e.g., local storage) where it’s used for the same kinds of purposes.
How we use cookies
We use cookies for:
- Strictly necessary — Keeping you logged in, securing your session, and enabling core site features (e.g., checkout). These are essential for the site to work.
- Preferences and functionality — Remembering settings or choices so your experience is consistent (e.g., after signup we may store where to send you back).
- Analytics and performance — Understanding how visitors use the site (e.g., which pages are viewed, general traffic). We use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Jetpack for this. We may use other site-optimization or analytics tools in the future.
Our membership and payment flows use Stripe, which may set its own cookies. Comment image uploads use Cloudinary. These providers may use cookies to provide their services; their own policies apply.
Cookies we set
In addition to standard WordPress and membership (e.g., Paid Memberships Pro) session and authentication cookies, we may set a cookie such as dfl_signup_redirect to remember where to send you after signup (e.g., back to an article). It’s temporary and used only to improve your experience.
We may use other cookies or similar technologies as we add features or work with additional service providers. This page will be updated if that changes in a meaningful way.
Your choices
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works (for example, you might not stay signed in). Blocking analytics cookies does not affect core site use.
We may introduce a cookie preference or consent tool in the future; if we do, we’ll update this page and make it clear on the site.
